Ala Hotel Kyoto

The room was a total letdown-no natural light at all! The weird window setup made it impossible to block out any noise or light at night. Plus, the bed felt uncomfortable, and the pillow was oddly stuffed with beans. Really frustrating!

I stayed here 3 nights and greatly enjoyed it. The room was big and the facilities included climate control, television and a kettle. All the staff was friendly. The location was good, at walking distance from Costume Museum. I would recommend the place.

The spacious room had a lovely Japanese theme, complete with faux shoji windows, creating a calming atmosphere. I really enjoyed the onsen facilities, both indoor and outdoor, which felt relaxing despite the number of people. The staff were helpful, making check-in and check-out seamless, and the amenities like laundry facilities and a microwave added to the convenience. Plus, the location was ideal, being just a short walk from the station.

The room was spacious and very well-maintained. Loved the nice traditional bathroom vibe. Only downside was the spotty Wi-Fi-got a bit frustrating! But overall, totally recommend it. Perfect spot for exploring!

The breakfast buffet left much to be desired for vegetarians, with limited options for those who don't eat meat. The laundry room struggled during peak times, with not enough washing machines to accommodate guests, leading to long waits. An unexpected fire alarm announcement was only in Japanese, causing confusion during the evacuation process, especially for non-Japanese speakers.

I was super impressed by the staff's helpfulness (shoutout to the front desk for circling the best spots on my map!). The room was spacious and clean, easily fitting my luggage and even had a nice soaking tub to unwind after a long day. The on-site laundry was a lifesaver too!

Great location near Kyoto station, but Wi-Fi could be better. Loved the 24-hour reception!

The room was really spacious with air conditioning and a tv. Loved the nice soaking tub and the complimentary slippers. Spa facilities were great too-enjoyed the hot spring bath and sauna. Conveniently close to Kyoto Station and had everything I needed for a comfy stay.

the aesthetics are amazing and the room has netflix for your shows. wished there were more light at the desk area.
